Mapping a Universal Print Device

Kofax can use Microsoft’s Universal Print cloud print service to setup and manage printing through Microsoft Entra ID. In order to be able to release jobs held in a Universal Print virtual queue to a physical device, a Universal Print printer needs to be associated with the physical device.

To associate a Universal Print printer with a physical device, do the following:

  1. In Devices, select Physical Devices.
  2. Select a physical device from the list, or add a new physical device.
  3. Select Universal Print in the Settings menu and enable the Map to Universal Print Printer option.
  4. Select a printer from the drop-down list. The list is populated with available non-virtual printers configured in Microsoft Universal Print.
  5. Click Save.
